My Approach to Healing

"To heal is to touch with love that which we previously touched with fear."

– Stephen Levine

Working Together

At my practice, I believe in the power of compassion and collaboration. Every person who walks through my door has a unique story shaped by a rich tapestry of experiences—physiological, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual. It is my intention to see and attune to you, and I honor your journey.

Life can throw a lot at us, and what once felt comforting may now seem like it’s holding you back. If you're wrestling with feelings of anxiety, insecurity, shame, depression, or a sense of disconnection, know that these emotions are valid and deserve our attention and care.

Together, we’ll dive into your past coping strategies to understand what’s been helpful and what is longing to change. Let’s uncover the meaning, transformation, and purpose waiting to emerge from within you. You don’t have to navigate this path alone—I'm here to walk alongside you as you embrace your wounds and authentic self.

I’m trained in a variety of therapeutic, coaching, and traditional healing approaches (click “My Training for more information). Why so many? Because I believe in tackling the root of your challenges, not just slapping a band-aid on the symptoms.

Let’s begin this journey together.

“The creation of peace in the world, which so desperately needs it, is no different than the creation of peace within ourselves.”

— Larry Yang

 Values and Ethics

Embracing Cultural Humility

I hold a deep belief in the transformative power of trauma-informed cultural humility. I recognize that I don’t have all the answers and that I bring my own biases and assumptions into our conversations. It’s essential to me to understand the societal and institutional forces that can uplift some while holding others back. I aim to step beyond my own perspective and embrace yours, creating a space where your cultural identities are recognized and appreciated.

In my practice, I strive to cultivate an inclusive and supportive environment—one where every gender, ethnicity, BIPOC individual, alternative sexuality, relationship structure, and neurodiverse person feels safe and seen. Each viewpoint is not just valid; it’s a vital part of who you are, and together, we can explore these rich layers of your identity.
